Moving On!!

They had been together for many a year,
Now all he can feel is fear.
He gave all that he could give,
It just wasn't the way she wanted to live.

 

She left without a backward glance,
Not even giving their love a chance.
He often wonders what he could have done,
To keep her from going on the run.

 

Now he is living all alone,
With nothing he can call his own.
He can barely make himself eat,
Wondering if his life will again be complete.

 

This man is now moving along,
Building his courage, and becoming strong.
Only Time will heal his broken pride,
Toward the sunrise his heart will glide.
