HIBERNATION RESUMED....

I think I love you. But its all my fault.
I should've told you I loved you. But why? It'd all still be lost.

Maybe I was too scared, maybe not enough grown;
Maybe too blown.
Blown away, I mean, to claim you as my own.

But out of nowhere, you walked out the door;
Figuratively speaking of course, and left me poor.

But I didn't shed a tear.
I focused instead on trying to steer clear,
Clear off memories of you I held so dear.

But I'm still here.
Holding my beer?

Dreams - Why do we Dream ???

Why do we dream? Why is it that we ( and by we, of course, I mean I) clamber upon these perches and look carefully into the distance separating the reality from the magically unattainable and then proceed to nurture them?

Why the need to ask for more than is possible? Why do we dare to see what we may not voice, for fear of being ridiculed, for shame at such wild fantasies or for silence in return for luck.

Why do we dream? Why do we look beyond the boundaries upto which we push ourselves and then no more. Why do we ask for that which we do not see? Is it the hope that sustains us or the promise of fulfillment?

Do we dream for a better state of affairs or do we dream of actual fulfillment?

And why do we dream?

And why do I dream? If, as stated above, in the mornings, I can never recall what the fuss was all about. And if, every morning, reality beckons.

A kind of Quote (My first blog from my mobile)

The beginning of knowledge is the discovery of something we do not understand

- Frank Herbert (1920 - 1986)

The right to speech. And no speech at all!

There's been much ado about the freedom of expression right from the time of constitutional evolution the world over. But sometimes being quiet is more important than being vocal about an issue. So how come nobody thought of the freedom to shut up?

Spiritual teachers have time and again emphasised the need to be alone with yourself to achieve inner peace. But somebody who wants to stay mum has no legal backing to do so in our world! Friends and well-wishers around you will force you to speak up, tell them what you're thinking, try to force you out of your solitude by cajoling, persuasion and emotional blackmail. The message is loud and clear: you have no right to shut up when you want to, especially if you're the gregarious types most of the time.

The only occasion when the law gives you the choice to keep quiet is when they're arresting you for an offence: 'Whatever you say or do can be and will be held against you'. But not all of us get
the opportunity of committing so grave a crime when such a privilege could be accorded to us. So we're stuck with the freedom of speech for most parts of our lives, having to make the right sounds forever! And because our society does not comprehend the Right to Silence, we're bound to make most gaffes throught incorrect speech and suffer the repercussions of bad Karma. Tragic, don't you think?!

Like the Boyzone would put it, It's only words and words are all I have....

Priceless things ...

Life holds so many priceless things.
The falling rain, the wind that sings.
Each star on a high, a big full moon.
And sunbeams dancing in your room.

The river as it rushes on.
A sunset when day is gone.
No wealth can buy a mountain tall.
These priceless things belong to all.

An autumn tree lends beauty rare.
With leaves piled deep most everywhere.
As nature wears a glowing smile.
To make each day a day worthwhile.

Could anything be quite as dear?
As laughing children that we hear?
The gift of friendship that is ours?
The miracle of growing flowers?

Each magic moment, treasured time
These priceless gifts are Yours and mine.
(a nice one i got through mail)

How nerd am i ?? does it really need a test ??

I am nerdier than 96% of all people. Are you a nerd? Click here to find out!

Paradigm Shift - Inspired by an cookie ad..

Imagine you are at an Airport or at an Railway Starion. While you're waiting for your flight or train, you notice a kiosk selling cookies. You buy a box, put them in your traveling bag and then you patiently search for an available seat so you can sit down and enjoy your cookies. Finally, you find a seat next to a gentleman.

You reach down into your traveling bag and pull out your box of cookies. As you do so, you notice that the gentleman starts watching you intensely. He stares as you open the box and his eyes follow your hand as you pick up the cookie and bring it to your mouth. Just then he reaches over and takes one of your cookies from the box, and eats it! You're more than a little surprised at this. Actually, you're at a loss for words. Not only does he take one cookie, but also he alternates with you. For every one cookie you take, he takes one.

Now, what's your immediate impression of this guy? Crazy? Greedy? He's got some nerve? Can you imagine the words you might use to describe this man to your associates back at the office? Meanwhile, you both continue eating the cookies until there's just one left. To your surprise, the man reaches over and takes it. But then he does something unexpected. He breaks it in half, and gives half to you. After he's finished with his half he gets up, and without a word, he leaves.

You think to yourself, "Did this really happen?" You're left sitting there dumbfounded and still hungry. So you go back to the kiosk and buy another box of cookies. You then return to your seat and begin Opening your new box of cookies when you glance down into your traveling bag. Sitting there in your bag is your original box of cookies – still unopened.

Only then do you realize that when you reached down earlier, you had reached into the other man's bag, and grabbed his box of cookies by mistake. Now what do you think of the man? Generous? Tolerant? You've just experienced a profound paradigm shift. You're seeing things from a new point of view. Is it time to change your point of view?

Many a times, we are clouded by our own instincts and predispositions. These hamper our relationship with our peers, subordinates and superiors. Let-us Try to be non-judgmental and look beyond the obvious.

Don't Copy if you can't paste

At a training program for top management a well-known motivational speaker gathering the entire crowd's attention, said, "The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who wasn't my wife !" The crowd was shocked! He followed up by saying, "That woman was my mother!" The crowd burst into laughter and he gave his speech, which was well received.

About a week later, one of the top managers who had attended the training decided to use that joke at his house. He tried to rehearse the joke in his head. It was a bit foggy to him. He said loudly, "The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who was not my wife!" Naturally, his wife was shell shocked, murmuring. After standing there for almost 10 seconds trying to recall the second half of the joke, the manager finally blurted out "... and I can't remember who she was !" As expected, he got thrashing of his life time....

Moral of the story: Don't copy if you can't paste.

Stranded on the Streets

If any of you have seen The Terminal Man (a film by spielberg starring robbie williams) Before, that is what my position is now.. for the past 4hrs.. stranded on the streets not knowing what to do, i was roaming and finally i decided to post something as usual....

Its just 7pm... My train is at 3am... one of the bizzare mistakes i've been doing these days.. and one of the other is coming here.. And if u ask me where ?? substitute it with one of the central indian city next to mumbai.... i could've told it straightly :) but yes this is my idea of passing time....

Anyway here at the railway station of the socalled junction, the moment i entered all i saw was all of the 20 screens are filled with the orkut screens... right from the kids to the elders... i was startled at seeing how this is getting more popular with north indians.. Well having an orkut account myself, im bored nowadays at seeing where this has brought us nowadays..

Afterall with these extensive communication devices, when the rest of the world is doing wonders, all we people do is to relish in social networking sites for loooong hours with a facade of our own. and.....

Well guess what?? its time for orkutting... Neenga thirundaveee maateengada....

Im a Solitary Wanderer !!!

I am a lonely wanderer
On my way towards death.
I love the clarity of air
Each time I take a breath.

I love the friends who walk with me
And then must go their way.
I love the sun at dawn and dusk
That celebrates each day.

I love to laugh at all the things
That do not know they're fun,
And weep at all the things that wound
And shrivel up by the sun.

I never saw my angels face
And will not have a child,
I wish to stay forever this way
Tempestuously, fighting for every may

Filled with passion and delight,
I love to live my solitary life.
But even so, I share with you
My joy, wind-whipped and wild.

About Love

by Swami Vivekananda

I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me. Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said this:"You see this water carefully contained on my hand? It symbolizes Love.

"This was how I saw it: As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it finds. This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand, love will retrieve from you.

For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature.
If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings.
Give and don't expect.
Advise, but don't order.
Ask, but never demand.

It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring."

Passing thought... Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.....

Life is beautiful!!! Live it !!!

I will try to fix you !!!

"When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

On a Runaway Train !!

So tired that I couldn't even sleep..
So many secrets I couldn't keep..
Promised myself I wouldn't weep..
One more promise I couldn't keep...

It seems no one can help me now..
I'm in too deep.!
There's no way out.
I've really led myself astray..

Runaway train never going back,
Wrong way on a one way track..
Seems like I should be getting nowhere.!
Somehow I'm neither here nor there..

Can you help me remember how to smile?
Make it somehow all seem worthwhile?
How on earth did I get so jaded?
Life's mystery seems so faded..

I can go where no one else can go..
I know what no one else knows..
But here I'm drowning in the rain
With a ticket for the runaway train..

Friends Forever....

an ode to all of my friends..all of you .....

As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come Whatever
We will still be
Friends Forever

So if we get the big jobs
And we make the big money
When we look back now
Will our jokes still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
And this is how it feels
We will still be friends forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there?
Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us 'round?
Will these memories fade when I leave my town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

and we'll still be FRIENDS FOREVER!!

Just be yourself...

The wall you’ve build up around you,
Trying to hide away from me,
Let me tell it is as safe
As hiding yourself in a glass house
through which anyone can see....

You say the sweetest of the sweet words,
In that dreaded name of courteousness
But the words spoken to many others
Hold no more beauty than
The painted birds with beautiful feathers.

Why, I ask you again and again
Just calm yourself and breathe again
Why be a statue with a carved smile
When beneath I know there is a genuine one
You tell me you’ve seen the world,
I do not defy it at all
Older that me, I know it is true
But that doesn’t give you
A license to feign…

Masking yourself from the big bad world
Trust me there is good if you search for it
I am not asking you much that you cannot give
Just be what you are, your raeal self!

It Rains

It rains.

Kids run wearing bright raincoats,
Jumping, hopping, splashing the waters.
Adults wade through the knee-level water,
Slippers in one hand, umbrella in other;
Some cycle through the drizzling path,
Some have a rickshaw-ride:
There's one who does nothing.

It rains.
Men quicken to get some spicy food,
Women start preparing tea or coffee.
Aged persons sit at a window or veranda
Glimpsing the active drops fall before them.
A mother gives her child a surprise-
The baby watches, smelling the freshness:
There's one who does nothing.

It rains.
We plan out a football match,
Rush for the nearby pond to swim,
Reach the terrace for the world's view.
We also bet a race across the road,
Challenge a walk over a wall
Or play out a scene in the rain:
There's one who does nothing.

It rains.
There's one who does nothing.
As if for him the waters fall not,
And if they fall, they reach not the ground
And if they reach the ground
They excite him not-
As if for him there's no rain
There's no sunshine for him either,
Neither love nor hate: thus, no life.
There's one living as if he had no life.
It rains?

Whispers of the Call !!!

Whispers of the Call

The Call
Carry the ways of the wise on your shoulders;
bear the burdens of your ancestors and
Deliver the exiles to their homes.

Create a new nation of wanderers
whose spark of the divine will light the path to eternity

Suppress the seeds of discord in your heart and
kill the desire of lust in your loins
for those things which are taboo

Instill the waves of harmony and love within you. Cultivate the flow of truthful face so that shadows of lies do not befall your countenance.

Go to the mountain. Do not let the mountain come to you.
Sit in its verdant valley of greens and yellows;
let the sparkling spring of summer soothe you.
Learn from its inhabitants then go out and share the wisdom.

Keep the secrets of the divine in your heart
until the world is ready to receive them.
Only then, can you come home.

For now...rest when you can,
for the days are long and weary.
In the ineffable name.
So mote it be.

Here Iam !!! This is me !!!

Here I am
Portions of self
Contained replica, snatches of reality
Where did I go?
Who was I?
Lore of self a mask of people
Re-define my space
Upload my memory
Download my life
In a beamless bottle
Lightless, breathless
for I lay there Lifeless.....

My Dignity

My dignity is personal.
It doesn’t belong to you.
It belongs to me.
You have no right to injure

No right to condemn
No right to trample
No right to sneer
For the show of disrespect,

I will spit you out of my mouth
I will shun you in public

You are air to me.
What message shall I send
To make you understand that
I will not put up with your bullshit?.
That I will not cater to your insecurities?

My will is still strong.
My hatred runs deep.
Are you ready to reap the whirlwind?
Prepare yourself, for where I take you,
No one will stand beside you.

I take back the hand I held out in friendship.
I take back the compassion I gave.
I take back the understanding, when no one else did.
I take back the love.

When the hour of need is strong,
Do not look for me, for I will not be there for you.
You no longer exist in my life.
So mote it be.
